Adobe Photoshop is the leader in image editing and you can add various different effects into your images for enhancing them. Photoshop provides loads of filters which can be used for changing the appearance of an image or layer in Photoshop. In this tutorial you will learn about the common filters. Go to Filter from the menu bar located at the top of the interface and then select Filter Gallery. (Filter>Filter Gallery).
Once you select the Filter Gallery you will be directed to Filter Gallery Interface. In the interface you will notice that there is a filter preview window where you can see the changes in the image after applying the filters. Then there is a Filter List where all the filters are listed and you can select any of them according to your preferences. There are various different filters available in filter gallery. In order to select Blur Filter you need to go to Filter and then select Blur (Filter>Blur)
Blur filters are very useful and with this filter you can blur any portion of your image and you can hide something which you don’t want to share with anyone.
For applying Sharpen filter you are required to click Filter and then Sharpen from the drop-down menu. (Filter>Sharpen) This filter is awesome for correcting the imperfections in your photographs. Sharpen filter is perfect when you are working with blurred images as it can be used for clarifying as well as for defining the edges by increasing contrast between pixels.
Noise filters are amazing for adding as well as reducing noise and grain in photographs. In order to work with older photos you can apply Reduce Noise Filter.
